Anyway, here be a small little preview of my upcoming Orre fic. Crits, please!
Knock, knock, knock.
“Alison, time to get up!”
“Uuuuuuuugh . . .”
Great. Alison’s mother, waking her up at . . . what time was it? Based on how tired she was after staying up until midnight while playing video-games, Ally, as Alison preferred to be called, guessed that it was around five o’clock. But then again, how could she be sure?
Knock, knock, knock.
“Rise and shine, sweetie!”
“Nooooooo . . .”
“Come on, Ally! It’s always best to get up early on your sixteenth birthday!”
“No, it’s not . . .” Ally groaned groggily, still refusing to open her eyes. The joy in remembering it was her birthday was outweighed by the irritation at being woken up way too early. She knew she had to get out of bed soon or her mother would pour a bucket of cold water on her face; she had done it before, and shit, it was cold! But damn it . . . Ally was just so tired. . . .
Knock, knock, knock.
The sound of a fist hitting the door was fading rapidly now as Ally fell back asleep.

Wondering when this tug of war will end.
Calling someone an idiot when they are being one does not make the person egotistical, immature OR an asshole. It makes them blunt.
Not always a bad thing.
The mature thing to do would have been to have apologized for making a bad first impression and acting like a total Japanophile moron and started again. You don't say "I'm crazy and insane" on an obviously mature, literate community. That's not how it works, and frankly, it's a bit insulting to use that term when all you're doing is making a fool of yourself.
The reason they hate Paolini is because he claims to be something he's not, tries to make himself look cooler by faking it, and obviously has no comprehension of the real world. Among other things, like plagiarism and bad writing of course.
What you were doing was pretending to be 'funny' (when you weren't) and 'wacky' (when you weren't) to try and get some people to LOL (which they weren't) at you. The only issue you seemed to have with them was that they called you an idiot and a moron.
If you keep acting like you did on anti-shurtugal, you better get used to it around the mature.
